When Judges don't get it!

WHO BENEFITS

When the judge doesn't get it, everyone suffers. When the judge gets it, but goes along with one of the attorneys cause he 'Trusts" him/her, everyone suffers. When the judge believes one way and doesn't care what the evidence shows, everyone suffers. When the judge is old and has been on the bench way too long, he sometimes makes decisions based on his life long experience and not the evidence brought before him...everyone suffers.

Way too often the judge never talks to a child to see if their views might shed some light on the separation of their parents. Sometimes the child knows what is in the best interest of them selves and/or their siblings. If judges would take the time to chat with a child when there is so much at stake, a child could bring the right light to the situation and make the case move right along. Most children know who done what to whom.

Never under-estimate what child(ren) are capable of telling. Give them the BENEFIT of the doubt...find out what they have to say about who they want to live with (and why) and maybe they can show the judge just how crucial having both parents in their lives can be.
